About Us

Physical Therapy Associates of Queens was established in April 1, 2003 in Woodhaven, Queens, New York by Melody T. Bautista, PT an immigrant from the Philippines. We started with one clinic operating out of Rego Park and expanded to three other branches in Flushing , East Brooklyn,and Manhattan. We are committed to providing the highest level of Physical Therapy care with mainly one on one supervision for each of our patients by a licensed Physical Therapist aided by a team of other licensed health proffesionals such as Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides,Acupuncturists and Massage therapist.

All of our offices specializes mainly on Geriatric and Orthopedic Physical Therapy . On January 4, 2010, we launched the Lymphedema and Hand Therapy Center of Queens in our Flushing location. It is the only Lymphedema and Hand therapy center of its kind in Queens with trained and Licensed Lymhpedema and Hand therapists.

We keep ourselves updated with the latest journals of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and all our branches are equipped with the latest machines and equipment required for Physical Therapy care. We strive to become viable and valued members of our communities, dedicated to providing the best Physical therapy service.

Mission Statement

Physical Therapy Associates of Queens is committed to providing the highest quality rehabilitative care available to individuals who may have sustained any number of functional disabilities due to illness, injury, or accident. Functional disabilities may be defined as difficulties in performing either simple or complex activities of daily living due to pain, weakness, congenital or acquired deformity, limited mobility, decreased coordination, reduced stamina, sensory compromise, and / or deterioration of or limited development of cognitive function.

Physical Therapy Associates of Queens will strive to keep an individual's rehabilitation program as abbreviated as possible in order to maximize that individual's wellness and to minimize the "sick role". This wellness perspective will include extensive instruction in home exercise programs and techniques to both address current deficits and to prevent future reoccurrences.

Individuals seeking care through PTAQ will be entitled to the respect ordinarily conferred to all other individuals regardless of age, beliefs, national or ethnic origin, or financial status.

PTAQ will demonstrate a commitment to each individual client's goals for treatment, and will expend all reasonable efforts to achieve these.

Staff of PTAQ voluntarily adheres to the professional conduct guidelines.

PTAQ will personify the value of the physical therapy profession to other healthcare professionals and to the general community.
